A long row of nine houses structures the exceedingly thin and elongated perimeter along the railway, very close to the central railway station of the city of Zug. The urban settlement oscillates between a coherent large scale form and the moderate scale of a detached urban villa. The urban concept allows for and implies a large variety of different spatial configurations and housing typologies. Specific split- and duplex types are disposed along the groundfloors. Two office buildings mark the beginning and the end of the chain. In between the houses, narrow alleys form permeable, public and explicitly dense urban outside spaces.
