Soft, green edges and sweeping visual connections between the various orthogonal building blocks characterise the suburban cooperative settlement with its different houses. The proposed phases 11 and 16 continue the typical loose street layout, connecting both to the neighbouring overall form of the ‘Im Stückler’ and to the small-scale, finely-grained residential neighbourhood along Dachslernstrasse. A straight and unpretentious design in timber and steel establishes a dialogue with the site and it's magnificent tree population by creating an open stage for individual adaptation as well as vertical greening. The surprisingly spacious, double-sided pergolas create a sense of identity, allowing forms of living that reference the strong contextual garden- like outside spaces. Simple yet sophisticated apartment types are derived from the calm and natural urban settlement.
